The Church on Blood in Honour of All Saints Resplendent in the Russian Land (The Church-on-Blood).

Once in front of the Ascension Hill, there was the house of the engineer Ipatiev. The family of the last Russian Tsar Nicholas II and his entourage were imprisoned here for 78 days. On the night of July 16 to July 17, 1918, they were shot in the basement of this house. A church-monument was erected on the site the last Russian emperor’s family was killed. It is one of the largest churches in Ekaterinburg, a place of pilgrimage of believers from all over Russia. The upper church is consecrated in the name of All Saints Resplendent in the Russian Land, the lower church is in the name of the Holy Royal Passion-Bearers. In the basement of the temple there is a memorial room.
