«Living Houses of the Urals» - They built cities. They made history. They are building and creating history now. The project «Living Houses of the Urals» is dedicated to all the builders of the past, merchants and entrepreneurs, and to the present – ​​businessmen, customers and contractors. «Living Houses of the Urals» is a unique tourist route created by the SRO «Ural Association of Builders». The route was created for those who are interested in the history of the Sverdlovsk region, construction and architecture. We invite you to take a walk along the longest and only route in Russia related to the history of construction in the Sverdlovsk region. As part of the excursion, you will see buildings erected before the revolution, in Soviet times and original modern objects. The uniqueness of the "Living Houses of the Urals" is that the route includes those objects whose builders are known. The dates of construction, names, biographies of specific builders are marked at the points of the route, and construction methods and technologies are described. You will learn what the Sverdlovsk region was like before mass construction of buildings, how merchants built, and why Yekaterinburg became an example of a new method of construction.
