We invite you to plunge into the history of industrial development in the Urals on a thematic excursion “Ekaterinburg Industrial: Past and Present.” During the excursion we will visit one of the iconic objects of Ekaterinburg – the former water tower on Plotinka in the Historical Square, which is a monument of industrial architecture of the second half of the XIX century, one of the symbols of Ekaterinburg. After a major renovation in 2018, the tower reopened to visitors. Now it houses a museum, a Guest center, a coffee shop and a souvenir shop.
Next we will visit the Museum of Architecture and Industrial Machinery – the Museum combines 5 monuments of industrial architecture of the second half of the 19th century: the premises of a wood-drying shop, storerooms, a drawing office, a fortress wall and a two-tier wall of the turning shop of the Ekaterinburg mechanical factory.
The next object represents the modern industry of Ekaterinburg – the Pepsi plant, where you can study the whole technological cycle of production of this sweet drink.
On the second day, you can visit, at your choice, the city of Kamensk-Uralsky (“Pyatkov and K” bell factory, where you can see the casting process of a real bell), the “Gornozavodskoy Ural” museum complex in Nizhny Tagil, where the only Russian Museum-plant under the open sky, Nevyansk with a visit to the famous inclined tower of the Demidovs.
